Crossroads Services Co. LLC supplies high-quality steel stair treads designed for durability, safety, and ease of installation. Each stair tread is provided with end plates, complete with slotted holes for seamless installation. If required, stair treads can also be supplied without end plates to suit specific needs.

Key Features:

  • Standard stair treads come with a slip-resistant pyramid nosing bar. Alternative nosing options are available upon request.
  • Common sizes include 250mm and 280mm wide by 800mm, 1000mm, and 1200mm long. Custom sizes are available to meet unique project requirements.

Guidelines for Stairs:

Stair treads are designed for easy support, accommodating a concentrated load of 1.5 kN distributed over a 150mm x 150mm area at the tread's front edge.

  • Maximum recommended deflection: 1/200th of the effective span or 6mm, whichever is lesser.
  • For staircases not conforming to BS4592-1:2006, dimensions such as height (H), flight length (L), and width (W) should be carefully considered for proper construction.

Enhanced Safety Features:

  • Anti-slip toe-edge nosing is fitted to the front of the steps for increased load capacity and clear visual distinction between steps.
  • Welded side plates with pre-drilled mounting holes ensure secure installation to stair stringers.

FRP Stair Treads

  • Ferro Tread Safety Stair Treads: Self-supporting with reinforced coloured front nosing, manufactured using fire-retardant resins through the Teknotex process. These treads have a permanent antiskid surface with integrated quartz silica grains.
  • Standard Colours: 1. Green with yellow front nosing   2. Grey with black front nosing

FRP/GRP Step Covers

  • Hand lay-up composite flat panels made from fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat and Cross Weaving Mat.
  • Antiskid surfaces feature integrated silica quartz grains for maximum safety.
  • Standard resin: Isophthalic fire-retardant.
